Safety First
Safe, watched over and never alone
Safety is our top priority. The whole home is cat-proofed and escape-proofed, and we treat every window, screen and door like Fort Knox.
- Indoors only. Cats stay inside in their own secure suite, with secured windows, screens and doors.
- An AirTag on every guest for their entire stay, as an extra layer of protection.
- Fresh air only in the screened catio, only with your permission, and always with us watching.
- Cameras outdoors for added peace of mind.
- No toxic plants or hazards, and calming pheromones in every room.
- Cats only, and a small number at a time, so the house stays quiet and low-stress.
- Pet CPR and first-aid certified, comfortable with medications.
- Someone home full time, with trained backup help ready on the rare chance of an emergency.
- A 24-hour emergency vet just minutes away, and your own vet's details on file.
Health requirements
For everyone's safety, every guest must be current on rabies and FVRCP vaccines. Please bring their vaccination records, any medications with clear instructions, and your regular vet's contact information along with your emergency preferences.

A Typical Day
Shaped around your cat
Every cat gets a day built around their personality, not a one-size-fits-all schedule. A bored cat is a stressed cat, so enrichment is part of every day, in whatever form your cat enjoys.
Mornings start with breakfast and a slow wake-up. Then come the things your cat loves: wand and chase toys, puzzle feeders, crinkly tunnels, feather "hunts," and even outdoor walks in a cat stroller. There's supervised catio time for birdwatching when you've given the okay, sunny window naps with garden views, brushing for the cats who love it, and plenty of lap time and slow blinks for the snugglers.
For the shy ones, "fun" might just mean quiet company and patience until they're ready. That's perfectly okay too.
Before the Stay
Getting to know your cat
Before your cat arrives, we have an in-depth consultation call or a relaxed meet-and-greet, so we can prepare for them before they walk in the door: personality, quirks, favorite foods and comforts, routine, hiding spots, medical needs, and how they feel about other cats. The more we know, the more at home your cat feels.
