About the Belvedere

Is Belvedere Cattery really cats only?

Yes. We care for cats only, and there are never any dogs in the house. No barking, no chaos, just calm.

Where are you located?

We're a private home in Fredericksburg, Virginia, serving Fredericksburg, Stafford, Spotsylvania, King George, Alexandria, Richmond, Midlothian and Short Pump. For our guests' safety and privacy, we share the address once your stay is confirmed.

How many cats do you care for at once?

Only a small number, never more than four guests at a time, so every cat gets real attention and the house stays quiet.

Will my cat be caged?

Never. There are no cages and no condos. Every guest has a private, themed suite.

Booking & Rates

How do I book?

Use the booking form on our home page, or call or text (540) 412-8436. We'll reply within a day to confirm availability and set up a consultation call or meet-and-greet.

How much does boarding cost?

Rates depend on the length of the stay, the number of cats and any add-ons. Please contact us for rates.

Do you offer daycare?

Yes. Cats-only daycare is available during business hours, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. It's ideal after surgery, for midday medication, for seniors and kittens, or as a trial day before boarding.

Do you offer pickup and drop-off?

Yes. Our Feline Travel Concierge is a paid add-on that collects your cat from your door and brings them home again, priced by distance. Just add it when you request your stay.

Health & Safety

What vaccines are required?

Every guest must be current on rabies and FVRCP. Please bring vaccination records with you.

Can you give medication?

Yes: pills, liquids and special diets, given on your cat's schedule. Please bring clear written instructions.

What happens in an emergency?

We're pet CPR and first-aid certified, keep your vet's details and emergency preferences on file, and a 24-hour emergency vet is just minutes away. Trained backup help is ready if we're ever called away.

Do cats go outside?

Only in our secure, screened catio, only with your permission, and always with us watching. Every guest also wears an AirTag for the whole stay.

Your Cat's Stay

My cat is shy. Will they be okay?

Yes. Shy cats are never pulled out of hiding. They get a quiet suite, calming pheromones and patience, and most start exploring within a day or two.

My cat doesn't like other cats.

Every guest has a private suite, and cats who prefer their own company take turns enjoying the house, so no one has to share space they don't want.

Can my cats share a suite?

Yes. Cats from the same household can share a suite if they're happiest together.

What should I bring?

Your cat's food, any medications with instructions, vaccination records and your vet's contact information. You're welcome to bring their bed, blanket, toys and litter, too; familiar smells make everything easier.

Will I get updates?

Yes. You'll get daily photos and updates, and a written recap of how your cat ate, played and settled in.
